My name is Lindsay Miller, nickname flinds a senior PR major at Kent State University. A 22-year old native of Akron, Ohio, I’ve always had a passion for sports. Growing up, my dad would take my sisters and me to The University of Akron football, basketball and soccer games. As I grew older, as a woman with a passion for a predominantly male industry, I’ve experienced bias as a consumer of sports media and former female athlete. It is no secret that women face a bias in most aspects in life, from criticism on clothing and makeup, to making 70 cents to every male dollar, and I don’t want to be just another number, I want to make my voice heard.
